Report 'Aquathermal energy in Europe' now also available in English

03-04-2023 550 keer bekeken

English

In December 2022 we published an inventory study of aquathermal energy projects in 12 European countries in Dutch. For each country, we looked at how the current energy system works, what kind of aquathermal projects are already in place and, above all, what can be learned. Knowledge sharing is an essential activity of NAT, therefore we translated the report tot English, so everyone can read it and learn more about aquathermia.

The research aims to gain insight into the current state of affairs of aquathermal energy in Europe compared to the Netherlands. The associated research question is: What is happening in Europe in the field of aquathermal energy and what is relevant for the Netherlands to learn? The information has been gathered from previous studies, research on the internet and input from the NAT network.

The English report contains an extra chapter, focused on the situation of aquathermal energy in the Netherlands: a brief introduction to the Netwerk Aquathermie, an explanation of Dutch policy in the field of energy transition and some Dutch aquathermal energy projects. There is also an chapter with  abbreviations added.
